Commisions
I don't do a lot of them, but here are my general guidelines....
1. I don't really do it to pay bills, just what interest and to pass the time
2. Prices start at 15.00 for one character, 3/4 body and 25.00 for two 3/4 body. Goes up from there depending on what else is in the scene, how much work, modeling, purchasing figures etc.
3. Nudity ok. Hardcore, not really. I have no problem with it, it's just difficult to do. Can discuss.
4. Take a look at my work! Don't expect what I cannot do. All my stuff is really interpretive, Velma doesn't look like cartoon Velma, Wilma Flintstone doesn't look like cartoon Wilma etc.
5. Don't be offended if I say "No". I may be busy or just trying to save you the time of being disappointed.

Just a quick update to say "Thanks!" to those who watch a fave my art. I don't spend a lot time submitting to groups so I appreceiate those follow my work.

Some of you may have noticed the small points charge (10 - 25 points) for the full size download of my images.... I started doing it a while back and the reason is simple. The image size I post for viewing really is large enough for that purpose, viewing..... but..... I wanted to have a way for those that want to show a little support to do it in a way that's cheap and easy. No pressure, just a fun way to show support, in many cases the download includes a bonus image or too. Variations of the posted work or things I didn't feel like creating a new post for, but felt some might find interesting....
So, that's it. Thanks to all of you who follow my work and special thanks to those of you who have donated points or downloaded!

So, I had 2 3d clothing commissions done by 2 great artist that I'd like to share:
Lollypop Chainsaw's Juliet Starling by
This is one I've wanted to do for a while as I've been a fan of terrymcg and Juliet Starling for a while. It came together nicely and is available for purchase on his page for 10 bucks cheap. Created for V4, I tested it with G2 using autofit plugins. It works pretty good with G2/3 as well, but was designed for V4. Shoe conversion has the usual issues. Comes with plenty of morphs which will enable you to create the Juliet of your dreams....

I don't know if Amy typically does commissions, but she was nice enough to take on this challenge of creating 2b's dress. She ended up doing the gloves and mask as well. A fantastic result as you can see. Created for G3, there is quite a bit going with 2b's dress and I'm sure it was a tough challenge, but results speak for themselves. I created the stockings using the tried and true on skin texture trick as I just could get any stockings to look the way I wanted them to. Amy has quite a few freebies on page so check em out.
A couple of tips when commissioning an artist to create clothing:
1. Be patient. It takes time and most of them do this in their part time.
2. Don't be cheap. The pricing you see for 3d pieces online is for items that are being sold multiple users to recoup the cost and make something in end. Don't expect to pay $20 for a full outift. It's not realistic and not fair to the artist.
3. The clearer you can be about what you want, the better the result will be. Works with someone that communicates back and forth and is honest about they feel they can and can't do.
That's about it. I would say check both of them out if you are looking to have something done.

Have you ever gone back and reviewed some of your older work to see how you’ve improved and changed your approach to your craft? I thought it would be interesting to compare work from when I started in 3D around 2007 to now. In some cases, I’ve improved, but mostly, I think 3D software has improved to the point it’s easier for users like me to realize a decent image.
First up is one of my first images I posted. It’s of my character, Green Radiance
This is interesting because there’s only a 2 year difference between the 2 images and probably shows the leaps and bounds in improvement you make as you begin to understand the program. Yes, the 2007 Green Radiance is hideous. At this point, I knew nothing of lighting, creating textures, shading, render settings, in fact very little about the program DazStudio. I knew even less about postwork and using an image editing program. By 2009, I was getting the hang of it and you can see a remarkable improvement and a character more in line of what I created to use in the game “City of Heroes”. Still, at this point, I couldn’t grasp the 3delight render engine and lighting was my nemesis. The 2009 image lacks the dramatic lowlight effect I was looking for.
Green Radiance and Rocket Boy
2 of my characters I used in “City of Heroes”. In the first image, you can see “flat” the surfaces are. The 3delight render engine lacked the ability to do IBL lighting and could not do reflections well without adding an image in the surface shader to create the reflection. Most of my scenes around this time looked light this. Flat and lacking depth or shading. 8 years later, Daz is a much improved program with IBL lighting, improved shaders, Iray rendering and other goodies. The main thing is I understand the program much better and am able to take advantage of the tools it offers. Still, a lot to learn. Again, lighting is a problem. I was going for a lowlight feel and this is just dark with no punch.
Luke Cage
Again, flat with no depth. I do like the action I was going for though. Luke is a little contorted but this is one I wish I had the original file. I’d love to go back and improve the original.
Maids
Lastly, Maids. I chose this one because they all use the Aiko3 figure wearing the same maid outfit. The first 2 are from 2007, early and late. You can see the fast improvement you can make as learn your way around a program. The 2012 image was rendered with Reality/Luxrender instead of the standard 3delight render engine. I had a much easier time with Reality and wish I could still use it. For some reason, since version 4, I have not been able to get it to run right. The last of course is 2017
I think my greatest improvement was really from 2007 to about 2009-2010. After that, improvements have mostly been driven by better software. It’s not really a knock on me so much as the real truth is I just don’t spend enough time “stretching” my skill set.

Devon is not your average 18 year old High School senior. She's a daydreamer and a bit of an introvert. Coming out of her shell late, she has a lot of catching up to do and prone to more than her fair share of bad decisions. She has a good heart, but a detachment to reality gets her into trouble. So far, she's come out on top. I don't do comics so each image is a mini chapter of sorts. Devon is based on the Deco Anime figure updated for Genesis 2 by
